(Research) Urban Coming of Age Openings

Film Openings

-ATL-
The opening to this film gives a brief description to the main character, the location it is set and hints towards the story/genre (This is the difference of being a boy to a man). Starting with the opening credits, the film goes to a clip of the main character as a little kid, Voice-over-ed of him speaking as his older self speaking a knowledgeable quotes). Going to his older self working, cleaning a window, now discussing his current life. The music played during the establishing shots of the setting also hints towards the genre of it being an urban film.
-The Wackness-
I cannot get a video for the opening scene due to them being removed from youtube for copyright reasons, but the opening scene for the film starts of in his councilors office, where he discusses his problems, it later establishes that he is a drug dealer and then he starts making his trip home on the train, where the character further describes himself through Non-Diegetic narration. The genre of it being urban is further shown through the hip hop music being played, the song is by rapper "NAS" and it is called "The world is yours". Personally I love Nas, he is my favourite artist and the song completely relates to the dialogue narrated by Luke Shapiro (Josh Peck - The actor)
This film (The Wackness) and Juice are my Favourite films, both Urban Coming of Age films, however Juice is more of a Crime thriller than it is coming of age.
