(Planning) Preliminary Task - Part 1

In our lesson today we were set with the task of producing a scene where someone walks through a door, sits down and speaks to another person. The video has to include a Match on action shot, Shot/Reverse shot and display the 180 degree rule in effect. The point of this task was to help us understand these shots and to practice our filming for our proper task. The use of these three techniques are planned to be used in the filming of my project.

Match on action: Having a clip of an action and then cutting to a clearer view of the action happening.
Example: Opening the door, close up of the handle being pulled.

Shot/Reverse shot: When the camera switches between subjects mainly during dialogue.

180 Degree rule: Keeping the camera within 180 degrees when switching between subjects. It is used to stop confusion of character positioning.
