To maintain camera stabability and 'smoothness'. The tripod can pan and tilt aswell as its adjust its height through its extendable/retractable legs.

Editing software:
Sony Vegas Pro 10 was used to edit my production. It uses a timeline and drop-box for the media with a preview box to see the realtime changes you are making. The software comes with presets you can use for edits as well as the option to customize it yourself with a Media FX Timeline in the editing panel.
Video hosting website:
http://www.youtube.com/ was used to host/upload the videos for public/selective viewing. It requires no fees and can be accessed by people who do and don't have profiles/accounts on their network. The websites videos can be embedded with the blog posts on http://www.blogger.com/ allowing me to analyse it.
